19/07/2008 i thought it was a very enjoyable course with a range of sifferent length holes. certainly longer holes than those of eaton and mousehold. i was although a bit muddled in to which hole was next but we got the hang of it. I'm 15 years old and i got a score of 75 today which i am very proud of. Definitely worth a visit!

15/05/2008 Can't comment on the course but staff were unfriendly and need sorting. Only got as far as the 2nd hole caddying for my 10 year old nephew. Was ordered to leave as I wasn't playing. Before this my sister-in-law fell on a loose drain near the car park. No sympathy or offer of help from the staff.

11/03/2008 Absolutely beginner so I thought I would try a pitch and putt course before venturing out in the big wide world. Silfield is not too far away so I thout I would give it a go with a friend.
We had a really good time. The course was challenging and a little bit wet under foot after heavy overnight rain.
Course is nicely laid out and easily navigated when there are few players on the course. I'm a bit unsure what it would be like if it was busy when some fairways cut across each other.
I would recommend it as a good starting place.
I was pleased to have scored 83!

04/02/2008 Excellent, having read the reviews before I went, I was wondering what to expect. But it was a fanastic place, being a beginer I found it challenging but enjoyable. It is a relaxed course and the staff are very pleasent. There is only 1 point I would like to make, I think at least one hole needs a bunker, other than that I can't say anything negative about the course.

RON....Its a pitch and putt course NOT Gleneagles!!! Having used the course and enjoyable after service in the 19th for the better part of 12 years, i must say that its the most challenging of all the local small scale courses...by a long shot!!
You may well encounter a bad day from time to time, but i can assure you that the course is in the best capable hands with Ray!
My advice to Ron is, DON'T judge on one day, come back, play again, you won't be sorry!
Special mention to Trish for the superb rolls, and to Carol for the warm smile!

02/06/2006 RUBBISH. Tee boxes on bare earth - slippery when wet. Fairways uncut - kept losing balls on the fairway didnt need the rough. First few greens badly scarified & covered in what could only be described as crush stone, later greens uncut. Some holes dangerous as one fairway crosses another & player is blind to the other tee box when walking down his own fairway. Costly - no child reduction - cost £28.00 for 4 people against a lovely well maintained 18 hole course we had played the day before - under £10 for 2 children & 1 adult. Will not be coming again, my guests were from Germany & Ireland & they too were digusted. I'm afraid it is not the lack of signing (todays EDP) but lack of maintainance that is losing you money.
